To support their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive strategic client relationships, manage key accounts, and contribute to revenue growth.
Role Overview
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding high-value client relationships, developing business opportunities, and positioning the company as a trusted NaaS provider in the South African market. You will work closely with executives, technical teams, and sales specialists to create tailored connectivity solutions that align with clients’ digital transformation goals.
This is a senior-level role requiring deep industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and a proven track record in enterprise sales within the NaaS, telecommunications, cloud, or networking sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture long-term strategic partnerships with key enterprise clients, cloud providers, and data center operators.
Sales & Revenue Growth: Drive revenue generation by identifying and converting new business opportunities in the NaaS space.
Strategic Account Planning: Develop and execute account strategies, ensuring alignment with client business objectives.
Solution Selling: Work closely with technical teams to tailor NaaS solutions that address customer needs and challenges.
Market Expansion: Support business development efforts to grow the company’s presence in South Africa.
Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead high-value commercial negotiations and manage contract renewals.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build brand awareness and market credibility.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of enterprise sales or business development experience in NaaS, telecommunications, cloud, or networking industries.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of network infrastructure, connectivity solutions, and digital transformation trends.
Sales Expertise: Proven ability to drive sales, negotiate complex contracts, and meet revenue targets.
Relationship Management: Strong client-facing skills with experience engaging executives and key decision-makers.
Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and communicate complex networking solutions.
Market Knowledge: Understanding of the South African enterprise and cloud ecosystem, with a strong local network.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred.
